Air Force Major David Blair Faulkner was a T-38 instructor pilot assigned to the 43rd Flying
Training Squadron at Columbus AFB, MS. He was killed April 2008, along with his student,
during a routine training sortie at Columbus AFB when the aileron from one of the wings
malfunctioned shortly after take-off. Maj. Faulkner’s family resides in Georgia and his two
children are Folds of Honor Children’s Fund Scholarship recipients.
